Rumors Of “Service” Fees Being Raised To 5,000 LL

On a Facebook Page named General Syndicate For Lebanese Taxi Drivers, an announcement of an upcoming pricing hike was made, to be effective as of March 1st.

As per a post, “The General Syndicate For Lebanese Taxi Drivers in Lebanon announces raising the service fees to 5,000 Lebanese Lira based on the high fuel prices, the high price of spare parts, oil, and other costs. This decision was taken by the General Union in the absence of the bankrupt state, the system, and the corrupt rulers. The decision is effective as of March 1st, 2021.”

Though no official announcement has been made as of yet, it is noteworthy to mention that other increases in pricing have been previously relayed on this very page.
