Some Children’s Vaccines No Longer Available In Lebanon

Amid the utter chaos, shortages of fuel, baby formula, and medication, parents now have something else to worry about.

Vaccines that are vital for children and toddlers are reportedly missing from the shelves of both distributors and pharmacies, leaving parents and pediatricians desperate for a solution.

Children normally get vaccines against hepatitis, polio, whooping cough, and pneumonia. The absence of these vital vaccines puts Lebanon at risk for dangerous outbreaks.

According to the Head of the Lebanese Order of Physicians’ Dr. Charaf Abou Charaf, these vaccines are now completely out of stock in pharmacies. Dr. Abou Charaf urged the World Health Organization to address this serious issue.
