The Beirut-based all-inclusive art organization Haven for Artists has been providing a platform for underground artists in the Middle East and bringing together art and activism since opening a few years back. Previously located in Mar Mikhael, they have come back with an all-new center on Sassine, Achrafieh.
The women-led NGO has been a safe space and cultural hub bringing together artists, activists, and those advocating for freedom of expression. They are dedicated to supporting and empowering marginalized communities through the power of art and culture.
Like many organizations, Haven endured many obstacles over the past few years due to the difficult circumstances that have fallen upon the country including the devastating August 4 explosion. However, they are back and ready to reunite with their growing community!
P.S: the cultural center is self-sustainable and wheelchair accessible!
