A triptych exhibition titled “Levant Past and Present” is being presented throughout Beirut, Damascus and Amman during the year 2011.

Beirut Past and Present depicts the cultural heritage, religion, territory and collective memory of the region.
These two fields of study and skill can be reached through the same exploration: the one related to identity. Whether identity is creative, social, personal or national, each kind is the subject of our inquiry lying along a continuum which extends from the past into the present and future.

Through the dialogue raised by this exhibition, art will be directed towards identity: between a heritage in creation and a memory under construction…
