Happy International Women’s Day, Lebanon! In honor of this important day, we look back at some of the most impressive accomplishments made by Lebanese women throughout history. Here are just a few of those achievements made by Lebanese women in Lebanon and around the world.

Yesterday, Hala Al Chahal Al Riz was promoted to become a general in the Lebanese Army, and is the first Lebanese woman to reach this rank. She was honored at a ceremony by the Minister of Defense, Mr. Yacoub Sarraf, marking this year’s International Women’s Day.
