With the ongoing economic and financial crises, prices of gas and petroleum have steadily increased over the past few weeks. This morning, the prices
showed no signs of slowing down with an average increase of 1,300 LL for petrol and 1,100 LL for diesel.
The prices are as follows: A tank of 95-octane gas: 33,500 LBP
A tank of 98 octane gas: 34,500 LBP
Diesel is at: 23,400 LBP
Gas is at: 25,300 LBP.
In addition to this spike in prices, he hHead of Land Transport Unions Bassam Tleis is set to announce that public transport prices will increase by 30% amid the rise of fuel costs later today. This also comes after a
rumor of “service” fees increasing to 5,000 LL.
It is expected that a tank of gasoline will hit the 50,000 LBP mark in the coming weeks.
